We perform credit checks of all prospective renters during our tenant screening process. Credit-worthiness is a good indicator of income stability and payment promptness. However, it’s not the end-all be-all metric for finding a great tenant. Sometimes, people’s credit can be affected by recent credit checks, school loans and other factors - which doesn’t necessarily mean the person will be a bad tenant. We take a close look at the complete tenant profile when making screening considerations.
We thoroughly follow up on the references provided. Every reference is called and their feedback is used in our tenant screening evaluation. Additionally, we do criminal background checks and verify employment to ensure all applications have been fully vetted.
We will send your prospective tenant to an online application where they will enter their information. Our team will review the submitted information and determine whether or not they will be a good fit for your property. All information that is collected is done securely and compliant with Massachusetts and Federal laws.
If your prospective tenants have an agent representing them, we will accept and review any prepared screening documentation as well. We will work with their agent to get any information or references to complete a thorough application screening.
