The 36th Bread and Roses Heritage Festival takes place on Labor Day, September 6, 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., on the Common in Lawrence, MA.

Famed author Katherine Paterson (“Bread and Roses, Too,” “Bridge to Terabithia”) will meet young and old, and receive the B & R Hall of Fame Award.
Lots of children's activities: pony rides, jugglers, arts and crafts, and face painting; historic trolley tours.
