Revere has a unique apartment scene due to its proximity to Revere Beach. There are a good amount of modern apartments that are recently built and have lots of amenities. These beachfront apartments have good views of the ocean and have decent natural lighting and plenty of fresh ocean air.


Neighborhoods


Beachmont - This is the southeast tip of Revere. This neighborhood as the name implies is situated along Revere Beach’s south end. It consists of mostly single-family homes - some of which are rentals.


Broadway - Basically downtown Revere and the main thoroughfare that runs through the center of the city. Here you will find historic Revere, city hall and plenty of eateries. 


Oak Island / Point of Pines - The northern tip of Revere and a peninsula. Great location for those who want ocean air and some quiet. This part of town is mostly single family homes, however, some are rentals. 


Revere Beach Boulevard - This is the main drag where most of the apartments listed on this page are located. It’s a bit more lively in this part of town and a great location for those who enjoy the beach, outdoor exercise and ocean activities. 


Shirley Avenue - This is where you will find Revere’s beautiful diversity, delicious restaurants, and ethnic grocery stores.


West Revere -  Another large pocket of single-family homes and some rental homes. Some people consider Squire Road part of West Revere, which is where you will find the main big box retailers and shopping center in town.


Nearby Attractions


The main attraction in Revere is the beach. However, there are plenty of nearby nature preserves that lie inland as well as downtown Boston which is only 15 minutes to the south.


  • Middlesex Fells Reservation - This state park is a good size and only a 15-minute drive from Revere. The reservation includes hiking trails, a dog park and the Stone Zoo!
  • Revere Beach - The first public beach in the USA! Be sure to catch the Sand Sculpting Festival during the summer. It’s an international competition where the world’s best sand sculptors face off.
  • Rumney Marsh Reservation - If you’re into fishing or birding, this is the spot! It’s also a good place to get some fresh air or a little nature walk.

Time & Distance to Downtown Boston


Revere is very close to downtown Boston. At only 6 miles away, it is a great place to live if you work or go to school in the Boston city center.


  • Commuting by car - It’s only a 15-minute drive to downtown Boston from Revere. During weekday morning commutes, bump that up to 25 minutes.
  • Commuting by train - The Blue Line runs directly to downtown Boston. It’s also a 25-minute commute on a weekday morning. Keep in mind, you will need to walk to the Blue Line station from wherever you’re living. The Blue Line runs along Ocean Ave. more or less.
  • Commuting by bike - You can bike to downtown Boston from Revere, however, the route isn’t quite direct. Expect a 40-minute bike ride each way.

  • Revere was originally named North Chelsea but was renamed to Revere after the Revolutionary War in honor of Paul Revere.
